I thought this was a great article and wanted to share it with everyone. It explains statistics that a 2012 study came up with in regards to brands and social media marketing along with many of the benefits. As it states "From saved marketing expenses to a a wider base of exposure, social media plays a decisive role in most companies' marketing stuctures..."
They also mention that organizations should learn more about Google+ and geolocation-based platforms. There area a ton of apps to connect your smart phone to these - so grab one and check in when you head out to a networking function.
