Yes, people do judge you by your grammar
I am not an English major but do appreciate when something is well written and the spelling and grammar are correct. With word editing tools it is easy to check spellings and many also check sentence structure. If we can eliminate some of the most common errors it will make our posts even better. Wayne and Jean Zuhl wrote a post about some commonly misused words that can trip us up. See if they give you problems too.
Please leave you comments on their bog for them to see.
Dear Bloggers,
Please proofread. People will judge you by your ability to use the written English language appropriately.
Thanks,

Here are some common mistakes I've seen around AR:
- you're and your - "You're" is a contraction for "You are" and "Your" is a possessive pronoun. For example, "Be happy when you're selling your home."
- its and it's - "It's" means "It is." If your sentence would make sense with "it is," then you can use "it's." If not, then use "its." "Look at that dog! It's wagging its tail!"
- two, too, and to - The word "two" is a number. The word "too" means the same thing as "also." And the word "to" can be used for everything else. As in "I know two ways to sell homes, too."
- their, there, and they're - "Their" is possessive, as in "Their house is cute." "There" is a direction, as in "There is their house." "They're" is a contraction for "They are," as in "There is their house. It looks like they're home."
