1. It's a Seller's Market

Like many areas across the country, North San Diego County is in a Seller's Market - and a hot one at that. We are seeing homes get multiple offers within days of listing! Some are even getting offers for more than the asking price. With our current low inventory of homes for sale in North County, demand is HIGH. Buyers who are looking at homes are serious buyers and they are taking less time to make their decisions. The median number of days on the market are dwindling down month over month. If you don't want to miss out on the current pool of potential buyers, you should list your home now.

2. Interest Rates are set to Rise

Nobody wants to hear it, but we should all brace ourselves to expect it. In fact, the Mortgage Bankers' Association has even indicated that interest rates will go up one full point in 2013. What does this mean for you? It means if you are planning to buy another home once your homes sells, you will be paying that much more in mortgage. On the flip side of that coin, buyers looking to purchase your home might think twice once rates increase. The image to the left shows what it took to get a mortgage in 2012. These numbers will all go up in 2013. All the more reason to list your home TODAY while rates and inventory are low.
