Coursera is a free web based social entrepreneurship company that has partnered up with top universities worldwide to offer FREE courses online. The subjects span the whole spectrum of topics you would expect from Universities such as:
- Economics & Finance.
- Social Studies.
- Law.
- Business & Management.
- Medicine.
- Mathematics.
- Technology.
- Law.
- Music.
- And even Green Sustainability subjects.
Currently there are three very interesting Green related Courses offered:
Energy 101 ~ from Georgia Institute of Technology, a 9 week course starting Jan 28th, 2013. The course will discuss driving of energy, current trends, economic and social factors, technologies and characteristics of different energy.
Introduction to Sustainability ~ from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, an 8 week course starting March 11th, 2013. This course introduces the academic approach of Sustainability and explores how today’s human societies can endure in the face of global change, ecosystem degradation and resource limitations
Climate Change ~ from University of Melbourne is a 9 week course starting August 2013. This course develops an interdisciplinary understanding of the social, political, economic and scientific perspectives on climate change.
