Mt. Norway in Washougal WA Homes for Sale (This link updates daily)
It's a beautiful area, part of it is located off of the gently rolling Vernon Rd. in a gated community on SE 13th. There are often views of the twinkling lights of the Portland Oregon cityscapes. Washougal is such a lovely town to live in, come see it today. Washougal is often called the "Gateway to the Gorge". Drive around, get to know us!
Mt. Norway IS a mountain, but not so much in the kind where you can climb up the side of it with pick axes and a rope. It is a slowly rising moutain with roads, homes and stunning views of the Columbia River and Mt. Hood. When it snows, Mt. Norway does get more than the "floor" of Washougal and the Gorge. It approx. 2000 ft. (Snow happens about 1500 feet.)
The Columbia River Gorge is known for its wine-growing!! Who knew there were so much activity and successful wine growing here. Wikipedia has a huge page of all the different types of grapes, wines and wineries that are popular. Go! Enjoy!
While I'm explaining about the Gorge, I'll mention one more popular thing here...The Gorge Amphitheater! Here is an excerpt from the Wikipedia webpage that explains it better than I do: "The Gorge Amphitheatre is located on the Columbia River in George, Washington. It offers lawn-terrace seating.
