According to the Charlotte Business Journal, The U.S. home values soar to highest levels since 2007

This is really good news for our region and the battle weary homeowner. This will instill new confidence in the economy, homeowners will have more equity in their property and banks should allow more funds to be made available to the homeowner.

This news together with the headline last week from The Realtor Mag stating that new construction reached the highest level since 2008. Rick Judson, chairman of the National Association of Home Builders said "Demand for new homes and apartments is definitely rising as the spring buying season approaches and more young people move out on their own,"  "Builders are responding to this improved demand by putting more crews back to work and pulling more permits for future construction."

At this time, housing inventory is low, interest rates are low and this together with the new boost in the economy, is causing a shift in the real estate market
