Recently, I have been talking to many agents in Dutchess and several of them have said they're witnessing the comeback of bidding wars. There is definitely less available housing inventory than seasonally expected, especially in lower Dutchess and East Fishkill. The key factors that lead to bidding wars are low inventory and excess buyers. If this trend continues through the next year, prices will ultimately rise in East Fishkill real estate.
