This is the weekend of Jasper ArtFest, which is always held in the third weekend of April in Jasper, GA.
Featured this year on Saturday will be a "Plein Air Paintout", where competing artists will choose their favorite paint medium, select a subject, and complete a painting between 8 AM and 4 PM on Saturday. They will submit their work at the end of the day to be judged by the public in a people's choice competition for prize money.
The public is invited to observe them actually creating the work along Main Street. Come and vote for your favorite artist. There is no admission to attend either the Paint Out or Jasper ArtFest. Go to JasperArtFest.org for more information.
