National Parks Lifetime Senior Pass for $10

Seniors, age 62+, can obtain a lifetime pass to the National Parks for $10.  Yes, it is a bargain that will be appreciated by the seniors in your circles of friends and family.  Please share this information.  Dolores and I have used our Senior Pass many times.

The Senior Pass is available to U.S. citizens and permanent residents age 62 or over. The passes are available at Federal recreational sites.

From the website:  (http://www.nps.gov/findapark/passes.htm )

A pass is your ticket to more than 2,000 federal recreation sites. Each pass covers entrance fees at national parks and national wildlife refuges as well as standard amenity fees at national forests and grasslands, and at lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management and Bureau of Reclamation. A pass covers entrance and standard amenity fees for a driver and all passengers in a personal vehicle at per vehicle fee areas (or up to four adults at sites that charge per person). Children age 15 or under are admitted free.

The five agencies that participate in the Interagency Pass Program are:

National Park Service

U.S. Forest Service

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service

Bureau of Land Management

Bureau of Reclamation

Roy,  That is a great tip.  I hope they dont close these wonderful parks down due to Washington politics.

Please spread the word to the seniors you know.  The National Parks are wonderful travel destinations for seniors and some may wish to work as volunteers.  Free passes are available for permanently disabled citizens.

Of all the perks available to our senior citizens, I think it is the Golden Passport available for lifetime admission to any of our National Parks for the one-time fee of $10.00, which provides the greatest bang for the buck!

It is sometimes a good idea to revisit old blogs and reblogs. We might even find some good ideas for new posts.
