I Was At The Right Place At The Right Time On Activerain...My Outside Blog!

A while back Jonathan had posted about the programmer's working on outside blogs...he wanted tester's...at the time some would say I spent too much time on the rain...reading...writing...and social networking.  That night...I saw him post and guess what I commented and now I was on the list to test the outside blogs. Yahooooooo!  I was at the right place at the right time on Activerain.

Very simple....You can personalize so many parts....nice layouts!

You can pick and choose whether to include your network posts...this is what I found to be awesome!  Now I just have to do it...

Today, I would like to unveil my outside blog...when I put my mind to it...it took me minutes...

I told Bob Stewart a hamster could maneuver it...believe it or not...I had trouble..not that it was hard to maneuver but too easy to delete and start over..for me too many options...too much personalization.....

I must have posted and deleted 150 times over.

Finally I have something I feel proud of...Let me know what you think!

p.s.  If you want to help me out...leave a comment there and let's see how it looks and feels! I think you will love it!  I do...

Midori,  I've had the same issues as many here.  I also didn't like that it was hard to decipher where one post ended and another began.  The titles should be larger or a deliniating line of sorts.

Hi Marc-Ok...you can make your title's larger...I wondered if anyone else felt the titles were too small I did increase already...now that you mention it..I will take a look again.  Appreciate it! :)

So if you have IE there is a good chance you will not be able to see it!

Thanks Audrey and Mana for stopping by....

Hi Midori.....I just went to look (1:00 am PST) and I too was taken to Yahoo and asked if I meant..........then I was thinking...maybe you don't need the www.  and maybe that is whay it takes you to Yahoo?  anyway, when I got there I had to scroll half way down the page to get the start of the blog.....the screen was blank except for the right side that had all your tags....

Once I got there though I liked the look.....

Hmmm.  I'm not quite sure what I think yet, but only because I probably do not understand this particular concept, so I'll stay tuned. I have an outside blog (Bucking the Real Estate Trend) so I guess I am wondering if your outside blog is meant to be an outside blog just like mine, only a 2in1 deal?

Pretty neat.  But I thought that by having an active rain blog on your own site actually defeats the purpose of SEO

Midori - I tried leaving a comment for this post but for some reason it was not there. The blog started with your post about Brian Block. The 1st 1/2 of the screen was blank. It looks good though.

Hi Everyone...I rarely use IE except to edit my website...you can't find my address in google because I don't want to be found just yet...a few of us are testing...and there are still a few bugs.  BUT on Modzilla I really love it and it is really easy to manuever.

Now the problem with me is I must have posted and deleted the blog about 150 times..it was so easy to change and to delete and start again!  Oh then I had to try all the different templates...with different colors...I think you get the picture...I really played around with it...

But when it was time to get serious about it...very quick and simple.. and there you have it!  Just hoping you are looking at it through Modzilla :)

p.s.  I used spell check and it my browser shut down...it's a good thing I was using Modzilla...when I clicked on the browser...I just hit restore session!  Gotta love it.

Hi Midori, I'm on Internet Explorer, so I'm having the same issue that Bill had earlier with reference to a lot of space at the top.  I like the fact that your blog is easy to customize and you are able to export your Active Rain comments

Midori - This is just a guess - but the problem for some of us may be that link in your post.  I thought I would try it without the www since the error message I get suggests that with a link w/o the www - and it worked - so maybe that is the problem?  Just a thought.   Once I was able to get to it, it looks very nice.
