What is the best web host for your Real Estate site?

By
Real Estate Agent with National Real Estate of Prescott

I may be showing my lack of being willing to change. But I have had this web page up for quite awhile. www.kennimmo.com  and haven't really had many leads generated. Most of the traffic has been directed by my personal direct or advertising. I was wondering if any of you have had a hosting company that works for you? I get all kinds of offers but never any real recommendations. Looking around at so many gets old. Who do you go with? What is a reasonable fee for their services?  Do many hosting companies actually drive traffic to your site?

I am at a loss, can you help?

I use Bluerazor, I don't know if that helps.  $9.95 per year.

I use Go Daddy.  They are very easy to work with.  They have a great support team.  Their customer service is easy to get through to.  You don't have to press 1 for English and are talking to someone who is in America.  I'm not very good with the computer and they are very helpful to someone not knowledgeable in the field.

I use homes.com and when I search in my area for homes with google,yahoo,msn. homes.com is always on the first page. I have had a good response with them and right now show over 3000 visitors to my website since October.

It's more than the host - it's the site itself.

First thing, I would get rid of the voice.  That is very annoying.  Make it clickable; if I want to listen to you chatter, then I'll click "Listen to Audio."  I looked at your site for about 5 seconds before I wanted to click out....people generally do NOT like music and talking automatically playing.  In my case, I surf a lot at night with the laptop in bed, and  music disturbs my husband.  Others surf at work in cubicle situations and disturb those around them.  Or I could already be listening to a CD or my iPod or any number of things which will give an audible clash.

Then optimize, optimize, optimize.  Read other blogs on here about SEO.  If it's a template site on some place like iHouse or Point2Agent you may have a more difficult time with search engine optimization.

Looked at your site . It is very nice . You probably need some type of optimization and get rid of the voice. If people are surfing at work the voice is a big no no

My site is hosted by Siteground, and they did guide me through some things to help drive traffic to my site, but I would echo Karen's advice above. In the end, we are responsible for our own site's visibility, so SEO is the key.

I am very sorry to have sounded so snotty.  I didn't have my coffee yet this morning...  =(

But seriously - the voice doesn't help.  =)

I'm with Gary on this one.  I have used godaddy.com for years and they have been easy to work with.  The part I like is that they call you after you have set up the site and make sure everything is working ok and if you have any questions....that's when I ask away and get results.  So far they have been great and economical.
