Here is a link to what this challenge is all about.
I am honored to have been chosen as a Hidden Gem in the Rain by Bonnie Westbrook, who is a lovely lady in Ada, MI that blogs about many interesting things including It's a Jungle Up There, which is about the Rain Forest and Life Lessons, which is about... well, Life Lessons. : ) Thank you very much Bonnie for taking the time to read my blog and for choosing me as your hidden gem. I sincerely appreciate it. I also think you are a Hidden Gem... keep blogging!
As part of this challenge, I get to be next to pick my Hidden Gem. This is more easily said than done. Not because I can't/couldn't think of anyone. It was hard narrowing it down! I've found quite a few people on AR that are unique and interesting.
My pick for Hidden Gem in the Rain is Karen Anne Stone. It seems strange to me to say "Hidden" in relation to Karen Anne, as I can't imagine her hiding from anything. She is intelligent and doesn't mind stirring the pot. She is able to maintain a healthy, non-insulting debate on her blogs. And best yet... Karen Anne is funny. I encourage you to check out some of her blogs and get to know her a little better if you haven't met her already.
Some of my favorites:
Voices for Peace about a local visit from Dr. Maya Angelou
If You Could be a Little Girl Again... Just for a Month... Would You?
Let's End US Independence on Foreign Education
and so many more...
Karen Anne not only gets people thinking, she gets them talking. So whether she's actually hidden or not, I feel like Karen Anne deserves recognition for her blogging. Thank you Karen Anne!
The next part of this Hidden Gem challenge is to tag 2 people to blog on their Hidden Gem (and Karen Anne gets to pick one too). So I am picking my mother, Terrylynn Fisher, and our friend, Kym Hough. Terrylynn is a Real Estate expert with 30+ years experience. Kym is not only an excellent home stager, she is a marketing expert. Also - since I am in 3 pet groups on AR, I thought my new friends there would appreciate that Terrylynn & Kym both love animals. (When we were little girls, Terrylynn actually worked for a veterinary office and brought one of our kitties home from work. Kym... well you never see Kym without at least one dog on her lap, more often two). Can't wait to see who they pick as Hidden Gems!
