Don’t Waste Your Time On What You Can’t Change

“Fix your eyes forward on what you can do, not back

on what you cannot change.”

Tom Clancy, Author

As I see it . . . . . . .

Don’t waste your time on what you can’t change

You can’t change the past . . . . focus your eyes on the future and invest your time  in what will have a positive impact on your future.

Trying to go back in time to change the past will . . . . become a complete waste of your time . . . . your energy . . . .  your resources and nothing in the past changes.

Put you efforts into moving forward . . . . you may not be able to control the beginning . . . . but you can grasp what has to be done . . . . and take control of a new outcome.

Don’t waste your time on what you can’t change . . . . look forward with positive expectations . . . . and work hard to achieve your expectations for your future.

You're right. What other choice is there? There's always the chance that tomorrow will be different.

That is a wonderful thought, Lou!  So much energy is lost on the unchangeable.  Time that can't be easily regained for moving forward in a productive way!

Great words Lou. So much watsed effort is spent on thinking about what could have been rather than what should be done next.

Thanks for another great blog Lou. Yes, too many people get stuck in the past and forget that opportunities await them if they can find the courage to move forward.

This reminds me of a line from a movie that goes "Keep Moving Forward".  It was a mantra, simple but true.  Staying anchored in the past just holds us back.

Change the things you can and use your wisdom to know the right thing to do. We all fall down but it is in the ability to get up that separates the winners from the losers. Only change the things you can.

Can not change the past, but the "take-away" lesson is also, always do your best, and then live with "no regrets".
