The Hawks are built for this moment... are you built for yours?

Yes this is about my beloved Seahawks... and our greatness... but it's also about real estate success... you'll see.

Driving to home from work yesterday listening to my Seattle sports talk radio show, the announcer was interviewing an ex-pro bowler and asking him to take us into the minds of the players as they prepare for the greatest sports competition in the world, the Super Bowl...

The announcer asked: "How do the players comprehend what's in front of them, handle their nerves, the pressure, the game?"  The pro-bowler said simply:  "They are built for this moment."

This gave me chills.

As an ex-collegiate athlete, I remember the countless hours in the gym, the weight room, studying film of opponents, making tweaks to my own technique, attending camps, getting yelled at by coaches, and game after game after game of life lessons that can only come from times when your team lost because you missed a serve, or you feel the glory for slamming the match winning point... every moment was preparation for what was to come.

And so it is for my Hawks-- but even to the next degree.  These men have been honing their craft, their bodies, their techniques, their minds to be put to the ultimate test. It is all for this moment.  So on game day every step they take, pass they catch, play they run is second to breathing.  This is their passion, their profession, their being.  They are built for this moment.

Which leads me to ask a simple question of myself and my real estate agent colleagues... Are we built for our moment?  Have we put in the time, the dedication, the WORK, to hone our craft so when we get a prospect on the phone, we know we can convert them.  So that when we get a million dollar listing appointment, we know without a doubt we we are walking away with a contract.  Have you done everything you could do, up until now, so that if that phone rings now... you can say, without a doubt, "Bring it! I'm built for this!"

Only you can answer that.

Go Hawks!!!!

Interesting analogy, yet tomorrow, only one team will emerge the victor but does it indicate the destiny for the team that doesn't win? I believe that teams with the most swagger usually wins, not because of arrogance but because of confidence. I also believe that defense wins championships and the team that plays the best defense tomorrow will win the game, so go Broncos!

Kerrie!  Look what we just did!  12th man... and maybe a few of the guys strikes again! :)

Beth-- Thank you and agreed!  Way to put in the work :)

Alyson-- Thank you and congratulations on being a fan of the newest National Champions/World Champions!!!

Patricia-- Looks like the Hawks listened to our cheers.  Yes-- they are great examples of what it takes to be great-- lessons we can all learn from!

Travis-- well done, friend!

Kimo- You tell me... what is Denver's destiny?  I don't fault you for not being able to fathom the incredible talents of our defense.  To be honest, I know very little about most of our opponents... just that they all seem to succumb to the same outcome.  I guess our secondary wasn't labeled the Legion of PitPat for a reason :)

Jim-- As a new blogger I was told it's better if you're inspired about your topic.  I was and still am inspired by my Hawks- and they don't need any help getting attention.  I'm just excited to be on the ride.  Looks like it's not hard to escape a herd when you can fly.   :)

Linda-- so you listen to Mitch in the Morning too, huh? :)  Woot Woot-- we're the champs!  It's going to be a great day... make that year!!!!

I thought they would win, it was too bad they did such a good job as it made it a boring game.  But I am sure the people in Seattle watched it all with glee.

Gene- so true.  Actually we were really hoping for a better/closer game but I'm not complaining with the outcome.  So proud of our team effort!
