Video is the Most Powerful Form of Free Marketing

Services for Real Estate Pros

Video is the best tool for marketing your business.

With more than 300 videos over the last few years, I know something about this.

Even if you just want to promote a listing you have, or a facet of your business.

You don’t have to have a great video set up. Most smart phones have great video. The iPhone has additional lenses you can add, like the Olloclip for wide angle. You can download intros and footage free at places like Here are19 Websites To Download Free Stock Video  Intros & Footage.

Most smart phones have great video capabilities

Even if you don’t get many views, it lends credibility to your expertise and business.

Plus, if you are having trouble getting your product on page 1 of Google, this often works and even beats out the long-term competition. No wonder Google paid $1.65 billion for YouTube.

YouTube is the most powerful form of free advertising

For instance, I wanted to have a presence on page 1 for selling copiers in Spokane, so I made a slick but simple video. It was on page 1 the next day!

Here it is!

You don’t even have to use all moving shots. You can use still pictures.

Video makes you and your company look its best

Music can be downloaded at many, many sites, all Royalty free. Two of my favorites are DanoMusic and AudioNautix.

You don’t even have to pay for an editing program. There are several that are free, and if you are familiar with Word, you can use Microsoft Movie Maker. It’s totally free.

Here are some other advantages of posting Videos on YouTube:

1. It’s Free

2. Content is Powerful

3. Potentially Viral

4. Global and Local Audience

5. Demonstrate Your Expertise

6. Selling for You 24/7

7. Give Them a Face

8. Video is SEO Friendly

The social media websites give more weight to video (especially YouTube) than any other media, including clever comments, music, and pictures.

When you post your videos, use tags to link back to the websites you want to promote. This is powerful SEO.

Want to do something that helps move your business along? Try video.

I made this video Friday, and it is already on page 1 of Google searches.

Thank you so much for the list of resources to help with videos. I've started making them and am having fun "getting my feet wet." I use Flipagram and other apps to make videos out of photos like you suggested. I use Jewelbeat for music but would like some classical so I'll definitely check out your links. Again, thanks so much for the help and have a great week!

Thank you for the sites to assist with video.  I use Movie Maker and very easy.  From the quality of your video it is obvious you have been to the rodeo more than once.

Gary, Thank you for your post and your encouragement that video marketing is both relatively simple AND effective.  I guess it is never too late to get started.

Thank you for sharing all this free advice. I am not utilizing video as much as I should be, but am trying to use it more and more. You have now just made that easier for me.

Video, the most misunderstood, neglect child in the real estate marketing family.  Use real video, don't waste the audio with just music filler or dead air. And turn the blinking red light on the local area events, the property listings. Go easy on the me me me selfies that busy buyers flit from and don't get information in the connection, transfer.

Great tips and thanks for the website. I have come across some pretty alarming statistics with respect to video marketing and agents who do not use them may need to brush off the resume over the next few years.
