Rivercrest Estates homes typically sit on a minimum 3.0 acre lots and some may be as large as 7.0 acres.  While properties consist of a mix of original homes, many of which were built by prominent mid-century Houston architects, there's a variety of architectural styles including ranch, traditional, mediterranean, contemporary and many other unique styles. Residents of Rivercrest have the option of attending either Lamar High School or Westside High School in place of Lee High School. The private schools in the area include St. Michael (K-8 Roman Catholic) and Al-Hadi School (K-12 Islamic School).
