My next dog will be from a shelter. Although Quinn was Mr. Perfect, I would want to rescue a dog in need next time around. Local shelters are all around the area with adult dogs, and occassionally a puppy waiting for new homes. Maybe  you will find your next pup here. Check out the many locations and find a new addition for you family.

I volunteer at the Pets Alive shelter in Elmsford.  It sad to see how many of the pups are pitbulls, they have such a bad rep in many eyes.  It's nice to visit with dogs that normally don't get a lot of attention.  Have a greta day!

So sad to see so many animals in the shelters. Not sure when or what I'll adopt, but to be sure another furry family member is in my future!

We bought our Westie from a breeder but our Scottie was a rescue. LOVE these dogs, I hope everyone will consider a shelter dog, they are deserving of a forever home!!!

What gorgeous girls in love with their Westie! Those are your daughters? Yes, I did adopt a bulldog and he really needed a new home.  But sometimes they do have baggage!

Hi Janis...I know people that want take them all home...Here's my 5 month (Sept 10) Puppy in our back yard...he doesn't wait for me to snap a photo, this is the 4th one trying to capture his face
