Today I realized that it's a small world when I chatted with Susan Haughton. While ringing and singing in the rain we both realized just how small our world is.
Susan Haughton noticed a commented that I had written a few weeks ago in which I mentioned working for Long and Foster in Williamsburg. She commented and told me that she had been wondering why my picture looked familiar. After she read my comment she remembered that she had been searching for an agent in Williamsburg and saw my profile. The buyers dedided not to Williamsburg so we never talked. Subsequently I moved to Fernandina Beach so Susan didn't make the connection since I was no longer with Long and Foster in Williamsburg.
We chatted for over 45 minutes and saw that we have a lot in common in addition to both being REALTORS.
My husband and son graduated from N. C. State. Susan attended N. C. State but transferred to ECU in Greenville and received her degree in marketing. My sister and two neices graduated from ECU which is located about 45 miles from my home town, New Bern, N. C.
Susan is with Long and Foster in Alexandria. I worked with Long and Foster in Williamsburg for seven years. My first buyers in Williamsburg were moving from Alexandria to Williamsburg.
Susan lived in Canton, Georgia for a while which is close to Atlanta. My family and I lived in Rome, Georgia (also close to Atlanta) for over four years.
At N. C. State, Susan minored in Wildlife Management. My nephew has an advanced degree in Wildlife Management and he lives in a small town close to Atlanta.
Susan and I both enjoy working with buyers and sellers over the age of 55. I will be living in an Colonial Heritage when I move back to Williamsburg in February. Colonial Heritage is an active adults community for adults over the age of 55.
Susan started her career with Long and Foster in 2004. I became a licensed REALTOR in Virginia in 2004. We look forward to sending each other referrals and meeting in person one day.
