It's that time of year - Spring Training Time!  Here are 10 Places to See Spring Training in the Phoenix Area.

 

 

 

  • Salt River Fields, ScottsdaleSalt River Fields - Diamondbacks Spring Training

     

    Home to the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies, Salt River Fields at the Talking Stick Resort was voted the Best Spring Training Facility in the Valley.

 

 

 

 

 

  • Tempe Diablo Stadium

     

    Tempe Diablo Stadium, with beautiful views of the Buttes, is the springtime home to the Los Angeles Angels.  Although Tempe Diablo is the 2nd smallest stadium, it placed in the top 6 in  attendance!

     

    Hohokam Stadium Mesa ArizonaHohokam Stadium, Mesa

     

    Hohokam Stadium - Newly Renovated for 2015. A new era in Oakland Athletics history begins this Spring in Mesa, AZ.  It has the largest HD Score board display in the Cactus league & all new seats

     

     

     

     

     

 

  • Surprise Stadium

    Surprise Stadium is home to both the Kansas City Royals and the Texas Rangers.  Surprise Stadium was voted the Best Place to See a Spring Training Game in the valley.

 

  • Scottsdale Stadium

     Scottsdale Stadium has been the springtime home to the San Francisco Giants since 1982.  Scottsdale offers free trolley service to the games from downtown Scottsdale.

 

  • Peoria Sports Complex

     Home to both the Seattle Mariners and the San Diego Padres, the Peoria Sports Complex is known for its wide variety of foods including the Foot Long Ruthian Hot Dog.

  • Maryvale Baseball Park

     Located in west Phoenix, Maryvale Baseball Park is the spring training facility for the Milwaukee Brewers.  This fan friendly park offers Bratwurst at its concession stands.

  • Sloan Park, MesaThe Cubs Spring Training

     

    Sloan Park, which opened in 2014, is the newest stadium in the Cactus League.  Its unique character is reminiscent of historical Wrigley Field.  To keep in the mood they also sell Chicago Hot Dogs!

 

 

 

  • Goodyear Ball Park

     Goodyear Ball Park in west Phoenix, is home to both the Cleveland Indians & the Cincinnati Reds. The Ohio flavors are served up via stadium mustards & Cincinnati chili.

  • Camelback Ranch Stadium

    Located just west of the University of Phoenix Stadium, Camelback Ranch is home to the Chicago White Sox & the Los Angeles Dodgers.  The grounds of this facility include walking trails & a lake!

One of the things I miss about living in South Florida is the Yankees spring training. For all I know it may have moved now but a great place to enjoy the afternoon away from the madness.
