What does it take to be successful in real estate.  I want to add that you need to answer the phone, respond to your clients, put your clients interest first, and get out of your comfort zone.  You have to prospect and advertising consistently to be successful in real estate.  Of course all of these great tips are needed too.

It is a great blog and I had to share it with more people.  It is worth reading.

What it takes to be successful? One mans journey...

Achieving success is one of the major goals that many people have in their lives, because this brings lots of great things. However, being successful is not that easy to achieve, and it does require quite a lot of effort in order for you to become the best!

1. Motivation

Many tend to think that success comes overnight, especially in this digital era, and while such a thing did happen to a few people, the reality is that most of the time in order to be successful you need a lot of work. This is where motivation comes into play. You need to have a motivational factor and in many ways, you need to really want success, just like you want to breathe in order to get fresh air and live. The more you want to achieve success, the higher the chances of actually getting there!

2. Give up something

Most of the time, success does come with a price. You just can’t have everything in life, be it a relationship or your sleep time, something has to give because you do have to focus a lot in order to become a successful person. Many successful individuals didn’t sleep or eat for days, in an effort to fulfill their goals and achieve success.  You have to get the people closest to you on board with your goals, or ultimately you will FAIL.

3.  Seriousness and dedication

If you want to achieve success, then you have to be certain that you dedicate your time, passion and resources to fulfill your goal. You need to act as a professional if you want to become one.

4. Patience

You need to be patient because not all great results tend to come overnight. It takes time to gain the success, and you will need to invest all your efforts into making this a reality, but if you strive to achieve those results, then they might come faster than expected sometimes. However, patience is a virtue and it’s a major factor when it comes to gaining success.

5. Financial and management skills

Moreover, ponderation when it comes to spending is necessary, because in your road to success you might encounter numerous bumps that could draw you back. This is where the focus comes into play, because you need to keep your focus at all times, as this is what you have to do in order to achieve the ultimate success.

6. Stay positive and attract success

Being positive all the time attracts good things in your life, so you should stay away from negative thoughts and instead embrace the positive stuff. This is what attracts success at all times!

These are some of the major things you need to take into account if you want to be successful. Remember that success requires a lot of hard work, and it doesn’t come overnight, but with enough attention and dedication, you are bound to fulfill your dreams, just believe in what you do and the great results will follow!

In the end, whether you succeed or fail the outcome is purely up to you. YOU are a product of what YOU think of yourself.  I heard a GREAT quote the other day I can't for the life of me remember where I heard it, but it went something like this

"a $60,000 a year person can't just become a $600,000 a year person without sacrifice, you are earning $60,000 becuase of your level of knowledge in that particular field.  Grow your knowledge grow your income."

That hit home for me becasue I pride myself in constant education, I mean DAILY and I preach it to my loan officers and Realtors that I coach.  Educate yourself and you will do more business PERIOD!
