Opening Day GO YANKEES!

Recently I read an article on Momsomnia, your mind just won't shut off and this was apparent to me as I lie awake at 3 in the morning.  I'm blaming this 'yet another awesome side-effect of being pregnant'  on the fact that I forgot to rock my Yankees jacket this morning.

I am ecstatic that baseball season is here once again.  I've recorded all the upcoming Yankee games that I can see, am contemplating the MLB package (anyone have it?  is it worth it?) and already looking at tickets for early June when the Yanks are in town.

The only thing missing is my beloved Jeter.  It will be bittersweet watching the games without the Captain but as life goes on so must we all.  I did ask my wife if I go into labor at the Yankees game in early June, (I'm due June 19th) if we could name him Jeter; she said no, go figure.

And then there's ARod, homeboy was getting cheers and boos each at-bat during spring training.  I watched in anticipation to see if he could still hit....he can.  I hate that he did what he did and never apologized for it.  I am one to forgive but just admit to your mistakes.  If he brings the team demeanor down I vote for him to take a hike, if not then I'll support him....but I won't be buying a #13 jersey anytime soon.

Here's to a great season!

Happy opening day, Kerrie!  Now that the Captain is gone, and ARod is back, it makes it WAY easier for me to root against the evil empire.  Go Sox : )

Kerrie...Read that contract with MLB closely.

I assume you are still on the west coast.  It should work for watching that team you talk about.   I wanted to buy in and watch my home team, but it is only good for OUT OF MARKET games.  In other words, games taht you can't get on TV.

Like I said, check real close.

Kerrie, I don't follow baseball enough to know what Arod did. But, I do agree that it anyone does something they need to own it and apologize for it. May you sleep well tonight.

I don't have a baseball team that I follow, but I should follow the Washington Nationals since we have a team again.

They did not have a very good start today against another AL East team.  You may stress less if you just don't watch them this year

LOL thats funny I used to love baseball and then when they went on their first strike I never much followed it again. At least your team has a pedigree of winning championships
