Hazardous Waste Day

Toxic Waste

A couple of times a year Minot has a special Hazardous Waste Collection day that you can bring toxic chemicals to a collection site for disposal. Toxic chemicals may include : Paint, Insectisides, Herbasides and more. You can also bring those old TV and computer monitors, fax machines, printers and more.

This weekend (May 15th and 16) from 8AM to 5PM you can bring such materials to 1025 31st Street SE in Minot. See you there!

This is a great service.  I hope no one shows up with those kind of barrels.

Our county has a hazardous waste disposal facility.  They will accept paint, chemicals, oil, batteries, and electronics.  They ask for a non-perishable food item donation for charity.

They also have drive-up recycling bins for paper, plastic, glass and metal.  It's only 5 minutes from my home so I go there on a regular basis.  Great service for the community.

Bob, It is important that every community offer this type of service. Glad to see that it is something to be taken seriously in Minot!

Belinda Spillman rest assured in my many trips there I have not seen anything that scary. The place is always spotlessly clean.

Ron and Alexandra Seigel I remember the days of dumping oil and other chemicals behind the garage or out on a gravel road. Things have come a long way6 since I was a kid and my dad would do things like that.

Jerry Lucas I wish we had a place that did that every day. We do have recycling centers for common household goods but the batterys, computers, and chemicals is only a twice a year event here.

Wanda Kubat-Nerdin it would be nice if they had this as a curb side service like the town I came from 20 years ago but at least they do offer something here.
