Temperatures are not the only thing on the rise during the Spring months in Hernando County, Florida. Home sales in Hernando County, Florida continued to be strong in April 2015 and increased compared to the average of the three previous months.
The number of homes under contract has also increased from the previous month by halv a percentage point. Currently, there still 676 homes under contract.
Inventory of homes for sale in Hernando County has dropped again. Not enough new inventory is coming on the market to keep up with the number of homes sold. Hernando County home owners who are considering selling should consider this time to put their homes on the market to take advantage of the buyer demand.

Inventory of distressed properties such as short sales and foreclosures remains stable at just over 15% of inventory and actually dropped to 176 properties since last month.
Of the 337 homes sold in April 2015 in Hernando County, 90 were distressed properties making up 27% of the total number of homes sold.
Average days on market for all residential properties sold in April dropped to only 86 days from list date to contract date.
Home buyers in Hernando County are still able to find some bargains in homes for sale. However, those who are looking for bargain properties are now having to be patient to wait for them to come on the market and then be ready to make their offer before another buyer does.
