Wow. Today I closed out a sale in MLS. It closed this past week and I just entered the sales data. When I entered the buyer's agent, I noticed the license number. I almost passed out. In 12 years, I have only entered a few license numbers that begin with 01. Mine is 0514644, to give you an idea. So if an agent has a license that begins with 01 it means he has been serving buyers and sellers in the great state of Texas for about twice as long as I have been alive. And let me tell you, that made me smile.
I'm at least three times your age. Perseverance pays off

Three times my age? No. November I will be 40! But you do have licenses in 3 states and that's pretty amazing! Perseverance definitely pays, regardless. 10+ years before I really felt like I owned my career vs. my career owning me. Nice place to be...
James Dray & Kristen Correa I'm 2 times her age in the game .... so she's going to have a great time in the game

Michael isn't 80 and James isn't 120, but if you are talking about "license age" ok... I may not be able to argue - 12 years licensed in Texas. It's really nice to deal with brand new agents and help them learn, it's really really nice to deal with experienced agents and it is a special treat to deal with "vintage!"
It is just a number, not really very important, what is important the amount of business that you are doing and the impact you are have on your clients.
Make it a great weekend!

Kristen - I have found that most of the agents who are 'vintage', are really great to work with. They obviously have a love for the industry and the people they serve.

Kristen, you are lucky they did not tell you how long they have been "in the business"... Congrats on the sale!

I honestly have never seen an 01 number, so I definitely entered the deal with a very high regard today. It was truly a special moment to see that...
To tell you the truth, I never even paid attention to such thing as license numbers. You are very observant.

Hi Inna, I enter so many sales with an 05xxxxx number (came in about when I did 8-11 years ago) or 06 (NEW) that I am surprised when I see 04 (15 or so years in TX RE) or 03 (20+) but when I enter 02 (30+) or 01 (40-50-60 years ago... the beginning of our Texas license numbering system as we know it...) THAT is a treat.
