It just disappeared?

We have a listing that is under contract and closes next month.  The seller came down to take the furniture out of the property last week.  This house was fully furnished, but not being sold furnished.

We got a call from her the other day wanting to know where her espresso maker was!  Obviously, we had no idea.  We didn't even know there was one there.  Why would we?

I guess she used it last time she was here, a couple of months ago, but now it isn't there.  The instruction book is still there, however.

The only keys to the place are with us and in the key box.  I am hard pressed to believe any agent would take something like that.  It would even be hard for a customer to walk off with it and not be caught.

So, we have a mystery on our hands.  One we will never likely solve, however! I know that more and more sellers are putting in security systems.  I wish we would have had one in that house. That could have solved this.

Roy - Sorry to hear about this. Our lockboxes keep a record of all agents who enter the property. Not sure if that would have helped if there were a ton of agents going through the home.

Hi Troy:

Ours do as well, but at this time I wouldn't have any idea who to 'question' or accuse! I'm sure I wouldn't be too popular if I just started calling agents asking if they saw the espresso machine

Yea that's a tough call. You'd like to believe everyone is on the honor system but there is always that one. Unless it was the fault of a lazy Realtor who gave the combo to the buyer so they could go unattended. That happens alot over here.
