Waterfront condos can be bought on Lake Norman in Cornelius, NC for under $150,000 in the Windward community. These are two bedroom with two bathroom condos and all of them have lake views and water access. This is only a 25 minute drive to Uptown Charlotte and is in the prime Lake Norman zip code.
Windward Condominiums, located just 1 mile off of the interstate, sit in the heart of Cornelius and right on the banks of beautiful Lake Norman. The community offers a large pool, a beach area, lake fountain, boat storage, two boat docks for day parking and a lighted boardwalk that wraps around the edges of the lake. The condos are less than a 1/4 mile walk from The Rusty Rudder restaurant and within 1 mile of a new Publix and a Harris Teeter grocery store. The area is full of great local shopping and dining.
The Windward community just passed an assessment this winter to have half of the buildings resided with hardboard. This will be payed for by the current owners of Windward. This siding project is scheduled to be completed by the end of summer 2015. Another vote will take place to have the rest of the community resided with matching hardboard to be completed end of summer 2016. Once this face lift is completed we expect to see the prices in Windward increase well above the $150,000 mark.
