Ernest Hemingway is considered one of America’s premiere authors of the 20th century. His move to Paris in the 1920s significantly influenced his writing. Now, he is significanlty influencing the 2015 Thomas University Scholarship Fundraiser. That is why this year’s event has a decidedly Parisian flair to it. That’s right. If the Thomasville community can’t go to Paris, Paris will come to Thomasville.

When: Saturday, August 22nd, 2015 8pm

2015 Thomas University Scholarship Fundraiser

The theme of the 2015 Thomas University Scholarship Fundraiser is “Toast for Scholarships the HemingWay”. Because, if you have to do something, it’s more fun to do it the “Heming Way”. Your $35 ticket gives you $1000 in play money, gourmet hors d’oeuvres, access to the gaming tables and a wine bottle pull. Live music keeps things lively throughout the evening.

If the tables aren’t enough, indulge your taste for gambling even more by purchasing tickets for the evening’s raffles. Keep in mind that all proceeds from the 2015 Thomas University Scholarship Fundraiser will be used to award future scholarships. These are awarded to exemplary high school students looking to further their education at Thomas University.

If you wish to attend the 2015 Thomas University Scholarship Fundraiser, you must RSVP no later than August 15th. That is this Saturday. Simply call Grady Enlow at Thomas University or send an emailed RSVP. This is the fourth year that the University has held a fundraiser of this kind. However, it is the first time that it has actually been held right here in our Thomasville community. Previous years’ fundraisers were all held in nearby Cairo.
