My younger self was unoccupied with this
pursuit of the divine that I've grown to have.
I find it in the lines and borders of a Rothko;
in the carved faces of mountains breaking out of desert sand;
in the dying rays of a summer day when
the clouds are drenched in indigo; in the infinite constellations to be drawn in Arizona sky; in the clear sea warm as the womb.
