The Gas Company Work in Land Park, Sacramento

By
Real Estate Agent with Elizabeth Anne Weintraub, Broker DRE #00697006

Because I don't pay the bills in my household, the names PG&E and SMUD are pretty much synonymous with each other to me. In fact, I struggle all the time to remember that PG&E is the gas company because it has an E on the end that stands for Electric. SMUD sounds more like a gas company, like it's in the mud where gas lines run. But SMUD is an acronym for Sacramento Municipal Utility District, which tells you jackshit.

PG&E, Pacific Gas and Electric Company, is undergoing a huge project to replace gas lines in Land Park. You can see the photographs, read about my experiences and unusual observations in my personal blog today at this link: About the PG&E Gas Lines in Land Park on Muir Way.

That is quite confusing.  Now that you wrote about it you probably will never forget which is which again.  Lol!  That's the way it works with me anyway.

Good morning Elizabeth.  Looks like your area is getting a complete makeover (with gas lines).  It sure would beat a break in the lines with cold weather headed your way.

Good morning Elizabeth. Companies like this have had to adjust and then translate these adjustments to their customers. These changes go on with all utility companies.

Make it a great weekend!

Interesting that they are working in areas where they don't show service.  Hopefully the residents of these areas will soon be able to utilize gas if they desire to do so.

Hi Elizabeth.  These utilities companies profits are based on their expenses.  Good luck with that.

The residents will be happy when that mess is over.   We went through a whole bunch of digging for Verizon FIOS, which we don't have access to either.  Part of our community having an arrangement with another provider for cable/internet.  Verizon figured that out and quickly stopped digging in the neighborhood.   No one was happy...and that was way less invasive than a gas line.
