The Truth can be a hard pill to swallow but it's still a Stager's job to give it.
One can try to sugar coat it to make it more palatable but underneath that truth is still there.
As Stagers we work with many types of clients. Some are open and ready to hear the best way to prepare their home for sale. Some don't understand the process so resist until they hear the reasoning behind the suggestions. Others feel they know it all, their home is perfect and a consult is a waste of time.
No matter what type of client we meet, it is our job to recommend the best way to highlight the features of the home. We identify the weaknesses and suggest how to correct them. It is our job to read the visual messages, good and bad, that the house is sending out and make our client aware of how they will influence a potential buyer.
Our goal is to get the client the best possible price in the shortest possible time.
A healthy dose of Truth (delivered with tact) is the best way to help our client prepare their home for sale.
