Pasta-Thon Today 11-13-15 For Catarina's Club
Bruno Serato owns a wonderful Italian Bistro in the heart of Anaheim called The White House. This lovely 1909 building is home to Bruno's authentic Northern Italian Cuisine!
Having catered to Presidents and Rock Stars....the delicious food and elegant surroundings is not the story!
Every day, hours before the restaurant opens to the public, Bruno and his staff arrive to prepare and deliver 150 hot meals to Anaheim's homeless children.
Catarina's Girls Club founded as a tribute to Bruno's mother who inspired this charity after visiting the local Boys and Girls Club to find that most of the "motel" children only at the school lunches provided, and rarely at dinner due to income. (A "motel" child is one who is housed in a motel by local charities) A typical Italian mom, she told Bruno to prepare pasta for 100 children...and they've been doing it ever since.
Today is the Pasta-Thon! Come out and see local celebrities and donate pasta, sauce and money to help this wonderful cause.
Today, with tough economic times, there are more hungry children and fewer diners at The White House. Bruno has even taken out a mortgage on his personal home to continue the meals to these children.
The White House Restaurant is a destination in and of itself. The food, the ambiance, the grace and of course, wine....but it also has a soul. The soul of a family who is connected to the city they live/work in, Anaheim California. Support can be given directly to Catarina's Girls Club....and it's a wonderful place to plan a special event or a dinner out.
