Golden Gate Bridge California by Robert Vegas Bob Swetz

Here is a great video of the Golden Gate Bridge located in California followed by some great photographs.


For anyone that has never been to the Golden Gate Bridge, walked on it and or viewed it in person you are missing out.
The Golden Gate Bridge is one of the most amazing bridges in the United States of America.


Robert Vegas Bob Swetz has been visiting the Golden Gate Bridge since the late 70's when visiting as a teenager. And since the 70's I always try to take a walk across the bridge whenever I am in San Francisco California.

VB - did that bring back a memory of a jumper.  When I was working for Cisco many years ago ... we are out on the bay on a team building boondoggle and we saw a jumper.  We also saw how quickly the Coast Guard started the search and rescue.

Vegas Bob - I have driven across the Golden Gate Bridge a few times, but never even thought about walking across it. It looks like it would be kinda fun.

Hello Troy ... there are hundreds of thousands of people that walk across the Golden Gate every year.

There are several places you can park, on the south & north side of the bridge. Great for photos and videos like the one I captured here!

Hello Vegas,  the Golden Gate is truly incredible to see in person.  All the pics rarely do it justice.  One obscure fact I heard while there was the # of gallons of paint used yearly.  A day to day, month to month never ending project.  I do not remeber the # but do remembe to this day its significance.  My curiosity got the better of me Vegas.  3 sites and no # of gallons to be found.  Lots of facts.  Was tempted to put the link in but out of courtesy to you refrained.  Enjoy the rest of the weekend.  Mark

Hi Bob-only by actually walking the bridge do you get to see all the design ingredients incorporated into this magnificent structure. The art deco lines fascinated me plus the amount of rivets!

San Francisco is my favorite city and I always go to the Golden Gate Bridge when I visit. I read where they were talking about stopping traffic (cars) on the bridge but that would be a big problem and glad they decided against that!
