Showing Activity Heats Up on Madeline Island and Bayfield, WI in March

After a couple of very quiet months, we are seeing a revival in property showing activity on both Madeline Island and in Bayfield, Wisconsin. Things were very quiet in our Apostle Islands real estate market during January and February of 2016, but that hiatus seems to be coming to an end.
For the first time since early to mid-December, property inquiries by prospective buyers appear to be on the rise. Most of the buyer interest is in homes, but there have also been inquiries about vacant land, particularly large parcels over five acres.
We expect to see a modest increase in new homes on the market by late April to early May. Home prices appear to be remaning stable this year in the 54850 and 54814 zip code areas.
