The Gilbert, Arizona housing market took a major leap forward in March signaling the beginning of the busy Spring and Summer selling season that will carry us through August. Let's list and analyze the raw numbers from the chart below first then we'll make sense of what the market is telling us. There were 1,094 Active homes for sale on the market in Gilbert in March which is a 79 unit increase from February. New listings coming on to the market increased by 167 new homes from February to March showing strong signs of homeowners ready to sell. The one statistic that matters most, however, showed a major gain. There were 529 Sold homes in Gilbert in March which was an increase of 179 units from February 2016.
What do all these numbers mean for buyers and sellers? March is usually the first month after the holiday season that homeowners and home shoppers begin to make their initial plans for a potential move.
