2016 Sundays on the River Concert Series continue at the Chattahoochee Nature Center with a show in May and one in June.
On Sunday, May 8, 2016, 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm (doors open at 6:30 pm), Angela Reign will perform. With a little something for everyone, Angela Reign, Georgia’s 2013 Best Female Country Artist, and CBS Atlanta’s Top Rock Artist will perform for the Chattahoochee Nature Center’s Sundays on the River Concert for Mother’s Day. Angela and her talented 6 piece band will Reign with her authentic #GeorgiaMusic style that represents the cross over from pop, to country to rock music. Purchase Tickets now, this show will sell out: $22.50 for first come, first served table seating at the pavilion and $17.50 for lawn seating.
You may have seen Angela perform at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, the Bluebird Café in Nashville, in competition as a finalist in Hard Rock’s International Battle of the Bands or performing the Star Spangled Banner at sporting events, for this is one talented lady! Barry Richman and Roger Andes will join on guitars while Tim Pace and Sean O’Keefe perform the rhythm section. Angela Reign’s show will make a perfect event to take your special Mama to, for a Mother’s Day with Music!
On Sunday, June 12, 2016, 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm (doors open at 6:30 pm), Joe Gransden and his Jazz Quintet will perform June 12th at 2016 Sundays on the River Concert Series at the Chattahoochee Nature Center. Get your tickets early to hear Joe Gransden and his talented jazz quintet will perform music that ranges from classic Frank Sinatra tunes to the music of Georgia’s own Johnny Mercer. Johnny Mercer, lyricist and composer, was one of America’s most prolific and beloved songwriters. Mercer composed and co-wrote more than 1,500 songs, received 19 Academy Award nominations and cofounded Capitol Records. Joe Gransden’s classic old soul voice and trumpet solos will bring #GeorgiaMusic alive with classic tunes like Skylark and Moon River.
Purchase Tickets now, this show will sell out: $22.50 for first come, first served table seating and $17.50 for general lawn seating.
Bring your own picnic and dine during the show at a table (decorated by you). For lawn seating, bring your own low lawn chair or blanket. Corporate Sponsorships are available. These monthly concerts will take place on the second Sunday at the Chattahoochee Nature Center located at 9135 Willeo Road in Roswell. Each show starts at 7:30 pm and you can arrive at 6:30 pm to enjoy the nature center and gardens prior to the concert. Adult beverages are available for purchase at each event, but remember, BYOB is prohibited. Invite your friends to enjoy concerts close to home at the beautiful Ben Brady Lakeside Pavilion where live music will fill the stage for Sunday night fun!
