There comes a point in business memory when you say to yourself, "I have this" no matter what curve gets thrown at you. It's a foundation that is solid that won't rock you when an unknown equation is sent your way to dissect and solve.
It takes guts, It takes time. It takes many bits of faltering, dropping to your knees and saying, Okay, I give; now what? Because that vulnerability opens up the spaces in you to absorb without ego getting in the way.
Remember Forrest Gump? He tried anything, with no barriers. He just up and did it! And eventually, succeeded. And without fanfare, moved onto something new. He shared his memories, his glories, his defeats, his stories for others to enjoy, but without rancor or finesse. He didn't tout his own talents in any worldly manner. He did it according to the clarity that his mom gave him early on.
We all have mentors if we are willing to open ourselves to them. What that can mean is something as simple as saying, teach me everything you know, as I know nothing about this, but am willing to learn and make mistakes along the way!
There is a heady feeling in really truly grasping something that you are confoundedly GOOD at. Maybe it comes naturally. Maybe it's just that you fell in love so completely that you want to absorb it all like a second skin, it becomes that natural to you.
It takes time, and forgiveness. Forgiving yourself for stupid little mistakes that may cost you money, relationships, and may wound that precious "I" but ultimately teaches you once you brave through the utter silliness of it. Because, there isn't a human in this world that hasn't fallen, screwed up and made a ridiculous foible. The true essence of this is to step back and allow yourself to be okay with it and look for that lesson, however small and also to look for the good in it as that will keep you going.
Make mistakes every day! It gets you that much closer to perfecting your craft and surround yourself with those who are experts in something you are NOT or who are passionate about a part of your business that you loathe. Reward them, treasure them. They are giving you the rest of yourself to complete that circle and allow you a small moment of perfection.
It feels incredibly good to say I've got this! And be sure and know that you didn't do it solely on your own. After all, we are ALL connected, and it is an open world for teaching, sharing, learning.
