Barn Doors

By
Real Estate Agent with DeLex Realty

I will admit that when I first saw a barn door in an office building I thought it was the coolest door I had ever seen. As I do a lot of flips and remodels, I can tell you these doors are easy to install, can be very inexpensive and add value to a house instantly.

The door I have pictured in this blog is sold at Lowes for about $400. Installation will take you about 2 hours and does not require a great deal of expertise, professional installation will run about $300 additional if you require. Installing a barn door in the Phoenix market, according to Zillow, can result in a 4% market price increase. I will gladly take an extra $6,000-???? for a $400 investment.

A barn door is a statement piece. You can  not use it in every room, but it always looks great if it is installed property and match the style of the house. They are becoming very popular.
