We got into Jupiter Florida on Monday to excessive rain. Palm Beach County has had as much as 9 inches in a day and it has rained constantly the first three days we have been here. This morning we finally saw that lucky ole Sun shining above and we made the made dash for the beach by the ocean to do our five mile walk. When we come to Jupiter to our second home we know if is a working vacation but a daily beach walk is absolutely essential to our mental well being. We packed into three days a ton of work since what else can you do and by yesterday we had gotten quite crabby with each other. It is not that we abhor hard work but after doing this for 27 years as a REALTOR® I know that rewards are in order and relief is essential to keep going. When meditation doesn't work well then it tells you something is missing. Charlene and I talked out everything by the ocean and the sense of peace is overwhelming. We now are on our way to the Hurricane Cafe in Juno Beach for their wonderful Dolphin Tacos and no that isn't eating a relative of Flipper. More rain is predicted for this afternoon but I will guarantee you that work this afternoon will be more coordinated and happier. Never forget to work hard but to also stop and smell the ocean.
Joe, I hear you! Between Miami and Broward we got slammed with 10-15 inches over the course of 2 days. I'm also seeing the sunshine right now. Enjoying it!
Maggie Dokic | Miami, FL | 305.81.HOUSE (46873) No kidding! We drove to Miami yesterday to go to the airport to complete our Global Entry application.
So glad the rain has given you a break. Hopefully you have some blue sky, sunny days ahead.
Belinda Spillman Some more rain tomorrow but hoping the resat of the month gives us a break.
Welcome to my part of the country! Although I'm not in Florida, I'm nearby in Mississippi and we have been victim to the same amount of daily rain as Florida. Today and yesterday was rain free so I'm hoping you have the same. Sounds as if you are working on a fixer second home? How absolutely exciting and tiring at the same time. Congratulations!
We had a number of rainy days here and it can make you go a little crazy for sure. So happy we have the bright sunshine yesterday and today to recharge our batteries!
That is certainly an amazing view to enjoy! I love how the earth is after a nice rain!
Glad you figured out how to regain a peaceful state of mind. I get it - it's too hot here to hike in the early mornings and I so miss those 4 mile hikes. I had to shift and figure out other paths and I'm having fun with that. Enjoy your time in FL!
Great you got out for the walk and enjoyed the beach, nothing like a walk along the sea and a good talk to clear the air. Enjoy your stay.
It has been raining and unseasonably cool here too! Joe Pryor now next week we are expecting a heat wave close to 100 degrees ..Go figure
I can almost feel the sand between my toes when I look at that photo, Joe. I've overdue for some serious beach time.
Good morning Joe. Into each state a little rain must fall, it goes true for the Sunshine State as well...
Good morning Joe. I really like your photo here. A different view and a great attitude too.
Joe, the ocean is where I go to get centered and grounded. There is nothing else like it for me. I love the feeling of renewed inner peace and joy. I am due for a visit to the beach. Enjoy your tacos and the rain that is coming.
Ahhh, the beach is calling. I hope the sun will shine and you will get to enjoy and soak it in, Joe.
Hi Joe... here's sending you and Charlene good wishes for many sunny days ahead!
Hi Joe- we got some steps in early in the morning before the hard rain hit. Don't forget to try Leftovers if you haven't. It's good!
Joe,
I do love the ocean what a perfect place for a second home! I hope you are having a great weekend!
