In chapter 2, we find our favorite antagonist, Mr. 11, is having sleepovers.
These aren't normal sleepovers though. No pillow fights and no ghost stories being told here. No siree Bob. These sleepover guests are homeless folks who are being let inside the property late at night to drink with Mr. 11 in his room and then not being able, or inclined, to find their way out of the house when the booze runs out.
So imagine yourself, renting a room in a house with about 20 other people living there. Waking up in the morning and heading to the bathroom, or the kitchen and having to step over a man sleeping on the stairs, one sleeping on the bathroom floor (worst of all blocking the toilet) and yet another person sleeping in front of the sink and stove in the kitchen.
