Buyers love kitchens.
Every time I've bought a house, I've made that decision in the kitchen. When I sell a house, about half the time, the buyer makes the decision in the kitchen.
Kitchens sell.
Which is why I'm entering this beautiful kitchen as our entry into the real estate category of Mary and Dick Greenberg's October Active Rain photography contest.
We chose this photo of 2319 Lyde Place in Scotch Plains because the kitchen is the heart of this home, as it is for many homes. Every time we've held an open house or visited with the owners, we've enjoyed the bright light of the blue and white kitchen. It's a lovely room - an unusually large kitchen in a cape cod in a highly desirable town. From the angle the photo is taken, the buyer can see the doorway to the breezeway next to the stairs. To the left of the photographer, not visible to the viewer but evident by the lighting, are giant glass sliding doors leading to a lush green backyard.
