Calif. Rare Fruit Growers "Festival of Fruit" Sa., July 28 in Campbell
The California Rare Fruit Growers, Santa Clara County chapter, is holding its annual Festival of Fruit on Saturday, July 28 at the Campbell Community Center, 1 Campbell Ave, Campbell from 8am-6pm.
This is the 50th Annual "Festival of Fruit" by the group, also known as the California Rare Fruit Society. Rare fruits include the pineapple guava and cherimoya or custard apple.
The Festival of Fruit is open to the public with free admission.
Lectures by prominent orchardists and expert growers of exotic fruit and vegetables will be heard. Topics include "The Diverse World of Figs" and "Beyond Avocados and Bacon".
Besides educational lectures, there will be a plethora of vendors and opportunities to purchase plants, seeds, gardening equipment and services, specialty art, and original gifts.
Also, come see the California Rare Fruit Society's agricultural inspection “sniffer dogs”.
The Festival of Fruit will be held from 8am-6pm on Sat., July 28, 2018, at the Campbell Community Center, 1 Campbell Ave., in Campbell at Winchester Blvd.
