Our family has been home to so many rescues and strays - all wonderful critters. The most recent is a Fox Hound who adopted my son when he was building a power line in North Texas - way out in the middle of nowhere. Puppy said "I'm going with you," and that was that. He lives with Grandma and Grandpa when Chad goes where he can't go along, but is perfectly content to live in a motel when weather and local regulations allow him to go along to work every day.

Our Sheldon is kinda adopted. He was found in a field, his fur was matted and apparently had not eaten in a while. He now is one spoiled middle aged man.

We never get those kind of expressions from our rescue cats Lisa. That being said I don't have the heart to tell them they're adopted. They've adopted us instead!
