Flag Collection in Kentlands Begins on June 14th

Starting June 14th residents are welcome to drop off retired American Flags to the Kentlands Clubhouse through July 3rd. Flags will then be retired at the annual 4th of July Parade and Carnival during the Flag retirement ceremony.

For out of the area readers, Kentlands is a planned community within the City of Gaithersburg in the heart of Montgomery County, Maryland. Kentlands is one of the favorite areas for families relocated to the DC Metro Area.

What a great idea to ensure that retired flags are properly disposed of, Roy. I would guess we have the same here in the Charlotte area, but have not heard it publicized in any way.

This is a great event that aids in seeing that retired flags are respectfully handled.

Roy, what an interesting event, and have to see if we have something similar in Denver.  Great way to retire our old flags.

Roy,

What a great idea to have this service for flags that need to be retired.  You live in a very progressive community.  A
