While walking out of Physical Therapy, a little sign caught my eye that meant so much. In just a few words, it caused a pause. Today is Monday. In twelve days it will be September 1st. Whether noticing the sign was a coincidence or not, the rudimentary truth is every day is different with one more opportunity to learn something new. When I left the building and got back on the road, I noticed every day people were rushing to get somewhere, seriously, deliberately trying to get ahead of traffic. The most important word in the motivational sign is LIFE.
L - La Di Da (no one is more important than another)
I - Ichariba Chode (though we meet but once, even by chance, we are friends for life)
F - Faith (too much faith in your beliefs can override common sense)
E - Excellence (without excellence, mediocrity is frequently your destiny)
Before getting home, I was stuck in traffic behind the Carter BloodCare Bus that was driving in the left lane. Bloodcare was on my mind. No matter who we are or how important we think we are, we all have the same color blood. Words I couldn't stop thinking of at under five miles an hour due to road construction include the following:
- Blood Brothers
- Blood Relatives
- Blood Pressure
- Blood Replacement
- Blood Sugar Levels
When it comes to blood, we are all connected. Our lives are contingent on healthy blood. For goodness sake, I think it's time to donate blood and give back to the Community. Save a life and give blood, so everyone here on earth has a better chance at living. What do you think?
