Five Months And Counting In The Hospital

The other day marked five months my daughter has been in the hospital. She went in before Thanksgiving and had her heart transplant on January 11th.

We got good news yesterday telling us to prepare to go home late next week. We are so excited! Thank you for all the prayers and calls encouraging us.

If you have not been following our experiences here then let me recap. About 2 years ago our doctor told us something was going on with my daughters heart and just come in for regular check ups. Back in November we went to Baptist East hospital in Memphis for a heart cath and the doctor told us she could not leave without a heart transplant as a virus had attacked her heart. We don't know if it was the covid virus or not but please get your shots!

Patricia, my daughter is slowly recovering but returning to transplant doctor once a week and doing physical theraphy rehab twice a week.
