Things I Am Thankful For: My Wife, My Inspiration
In this season of grateful, I am so appreciative of the crossing of paths that brought my wife into my life. A night at a local music venue gave me a familiar face. The girl that used to sit next to me in a math class was standing with a couple of women. The face was a little older but the smile was one I remembered.
A few choice words, a few dances and a libation and a promise to get together for dinner one night. Nothing happened for a couple of years but when the time was right, there she was again.
We both had previous relations, I call ours a recycled relationship and we both seem to have learned and knew what was right for going forward.
Our relationship is one of sharing life. We have both had life issues and health issues but with each other's support all was able to be passed and for us to move on with life.
We laugh together, we share the down sides but always it was a matter of making sure we worked everything out together.
A strong relationship is one where all is shared, good and bad as the commitment to each other means everything impacts the other. We share life
We both love to travel: appreciate good food; don't like to waste time; enjoy music; and respect the value of family.
We have been married for 27 years but have been a committed couple for 35, and with good fortune will continue to click off additional days together.
I have often joked to her that I should send her ex a thank you note.
She laughs with a tone of appreciation but then tells me to behave. She says that to me a lot. Cauna has been the best thing that ever happened to me and to anyone that ever had the good fortune to meet her.
This is a post for the November Thankful Challenge hosted by Debe Maxwell.
