A Wonderful Weekend

I just wanted to give a Shout Out to Grand Forks ND, home of The Fighting Sioux for the wonderful weekend we spent there visiting our daughter Tina.

Although Tina is Air Force Guard stationed out of Milwaukee she is spending five weeks at the Grand Forks Air Force Base receiving training that will up her grade. It is only 300 miles to visit as opposed to the 900+ it would be to visit her in Milwaukee so we just had to go 😊.

The Air Force put Tina up in a first class motel for the five weeks of training and we chose a Comfort Inn just 3 blocks from her hotel to stay. With a very large State hockey tournament in town we were very lucky to find anyplace to stay and at least we found something under $200.00 a night.

Tina was really pleased we came to see her and we all had a wonderful time. I need to start putting up several Google reviews, every one of them good, and the diet starts today!!!

Sounds like a fun family weekend! Why does the diet start today lol? Too much indulgence eating out at restaurants for each meal?

Delighted you had a lovely weekend with the family and got to see Tina again, Bob. 300 miles sounds like a lot to me... then again, I avoid long driving trips like the plague.

I don't mind a one day trip like that one Nina Hollander, Broker but I don't think my aging vehicle is going to tolerate any/many more such trips.

It was a very good time for all four of us Carol Williams . I'm really glad we went even though it was a tough decision, largely because of the weather forecast.

Good for you Bob! A wise decision to have the family together and 300 miles is doable! Especially when it means making some more family memories!
