We often hear about seeing the "big picture". Although this can be a good thing in many situations, sometimes we simply need to narrow our focus. So when is it a good time to pinpoint your focus?
DEADLINES to meet will definitely cause you to narrow your focus. There is nothing like an impending deadline to place all of your attention where it is needed.
PRIORITIES truly do help you narrow a focus. But first, you must know what those priorities are! Creating a list of what is most important for you to achieve is a great first step.
REMOVE DISTRACTIONS. Now, this is a really difficult one! All of us have numerous daily distractions such as phone calls, social media, life situations, and many more. Whenever you can, determine the "time-wasters" and make it your goal to remove those distractions. You will find that you have much more time to get the most important things completed.
GET GOING! While this may appear to be simple, for many, getting up and getting going can be really tough. Remember, you and only you can light the fire under your booty. Sometimes, an attitude change is in order.
NO MORE EXCUSES. Whatever your excuses are, just stop allowing these things to cause you to lose your focus. Again, this is a mindset that can be altered. It takes discipline. But, you can do it!
Where do you need to narrow your focus? When you take a minute to assess what is going on in your life, you will certainly see there are some things that you can do right now in order to maintain and correct your focus. Here is to your new focus!
