The end of school in Austin is right around the corner (next week Thursday May 26th is the last day at Doss Elementary for Handsome Hudson and Beautiful Beckett).
Starting the end of this week school days are jam-packed with extra activities and countless interruptions The weather is warming up and the anticipation of summer camps and family vacations means previously calm children (if there really are any) turn into feral cats!
Hudson and Beckett were so excited with “field day” yesterday at the school. The parents worked hard to recreate an old fashion day filled with 100-yard dash races, shot put, basketball throwing contests, long jump, three legged races, all the old fashion favorites that are so much fun!
So glad they had lots of parents volunteering and the kids had the best day ever! My observation resulted in remembering back our end of the year school days and glad there are still some things that never change.
