Dear World Class Performer:
15 years ago the sports world lost one of its true gentleman, Jimmy Valvano, to cancer. Jimmy V as he was known, coached in the college ranks for 19 years including winning a national championship in 1983 as the head coach of North Carolina State University. Right before he passed away he gave a speech at the 1993 ESPY awards to announce the creation of the Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research. Today on ESPN radio they had an auction to raise more money for this venture.
I highly encourage everyone to check out the video of this speech on YouTube. Here is the link.... http://100daychallenge.ning.com/video/video/show?id=2015269%3AVideo%3A21585. I know many of you are struggling in this real estate environment. It is very important to keep things in perspective and I know this speech will both inspire and energize you to keep going no matter what.
Jimmy's message was very simple....
Know where you started...
Know where you are...
Know where you are going.
Take time each day to laugh, think, and cry.
Be enthusiastic, keep your dream alive, work hard.
Spend each day as if it were your last.
Don't give up. Don't ever give up.
No one can ever take your heart, your mind, or your soul. These things last forever!!
Make it a JIMMY V TODAY!!
